Snow Fun

Abby and Syd enjoying the first real snow of the season.
My first snowman- Syd helped, Abby tried to destroy.
Sydney was freezing-can you tell!

Halloween

Halloween we went trick or treating at John's work and then stopped at Aunt Amy's on the way home for some cute pics.
Sierra a cute witch
Abby our cowgirl.
It is almost impossible to get a good picture of this girl-
she likes to make silly faces and move all
over the place when ever there is a camera around.

Pumpkin Fun

I cut vinyl out for the kids to decorate their pumpkins. We weren't in the mood for the mess tonight, maybe later this week we'll actually carve them.
Syd and Sierra posing with our Bum Pumpkin
The girls and I found this pumpkin and could not stop laughing.  We had to get it.  They show it to every friend who comes over to our house.  Even Abby was telling Aunt Amy about the Bum Pumpkin.  We're thinking we need to put some pants on it.

Family Fun

My sister, Amy and the kids came over tonight for dinner and family night.  We played a game with a witches caldron full of dry rice and smarties.  We each took turns seeing how many smarties we could find in a minute while blindfolded.  John beat me by one, I think he
cheated :).  Thanks Lori- my fun new neighbor who gave this stuff to me.   It was pretty fun- the kids actually wanted to play another round, but we still had to decorate pumpkins.

Oh darn, nobody took a picture of me

Halloween 5K

Saturday night a bunch of friends participated in a Halloween 5K race which began at the rec center and went through the cemetery.  The weather was great, there lots of fun costumes and some fun prizes at the end. I would definitely do this again next year.

Wee Witches at Gardner Village

We went to Gardner Village on Saturday with our friends the Willhites.  We had lots of fun and the kids liked seeing all the witches.  Jen looked so good in her costume that somebody asked her for directions thinking that she worked there.  I think we'll have to make this a new tradition.
Sierra and Sydney decorated witches hats- I was very excited because I had planned on doing this at home before Halloween. When we walked up and saw "Decorate a hat for $5" that made my day- no mess at home and they had lots of cute stuff to use.  The girls loved it.

I am totally bummed the only group picture we took and it's BLURRY!  Sorry Jen, we'll have to try again on Halloween.  I guess you'll have to dress up again!

Cornbelly's Maze and Pumpkin Fest

Last Friday Maria and the girls went to Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving point with Oma (Maria's mom).  We had lots of fun on the hayride, slides, princess pumpkin land, cow tractor pull, playing in the corn box, and spending time with Oma.  Maria's mom got the grandparent's pass to Thanksgiving point which allows grandchildren either free admittance or 1/2 off on most venues.  We are happy to have her live close enough to see her often and do these fun day activities.

Horseback Riding

Abby has been doing therapeutic horseback riding for a year now and loves it. Her lesson is once a week for an hour which consists of grooming, saddling, riding, and feeding him a treat at the end.  She has riden a few different horses but really enjoys Max (he is the pony and when he trots he bounces more than the bigger horses).  Sierra and Sydney enjoy watching (sometimes through the window)-it gets pretty cold in the arena in the winter-right now it's perfect.

Welcome!

So- I have spent the last year having fun looking at many of our friends blogs and being a bit intimidated at the idea of doing our own but here it goes.   We love seeing all the fun things you are all doing.
