March

MARCH HIGHLIGHTS

So, my goal this year was to post at least once a month...okay so I'm only about 3 months behind!

ST. PATRICK'S DAY
For St. Patrick's Day we had a leprechaun visit our house and he left green footprints and gold coins all over! He came to our neighbor's house last year, so maybe he'll visit someone else's house next year =). I made these cute rainbow cupcakes and the leprechaun added a gold coin to each one! One of our traditions is I usually buy the girls shirts for holidays like Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, and 4th of July.

Sydney enjoying her rainbow cupcake.

Abby enjoyed 4 cupcakes!!!!! Apparently she was searching for the pot of gold!!!! Fortunately she does not react to food coloring!
A very happy and sugared up Abby.

Sierra with her best friend Morgan.

SIERRA'S FIRST SOLO

Sierra has been dancing for almost 7 years. She started in a cute little ballet class with her friend Meilani when we still lived in California, I don't think they were quite 3 yet! This year she did her first solo! She chose to do a lyrical style, she did such an amazing job, we are so proud of her! She earned first place at both competitions that she competed at and at the second one she got Overall Highpoint for Novice for all Solos/Duos/Trios. She was SO surprised as were we! I had told John that all the awards were done and he could leave (Abby and Syd were at home with the babysitter) after she got her first place...it wasn't until the very end of the awards that they said Sierra's name!

Sierra & Miss Ashley, the teacher who choreographed her solo. Sierra holding her dancing frog we gave her after her solo.

1st place

Queen at 2nd Competition- The awards at this one were Queen, 1st attendant, etc., and they had them stand on the podium (not a fan of this style) of awards.

The giant trophy is the one for overall highpoint! Not sure where to put it!

Valentines Day

We had a fun Valentines weekend! Friday the girls all had parties at school, Saturday John bought me balloons and roses, we got to have a lunch date (my sister's kids were staying with us and they are old enough to babysit), John went to the BYU basketball game, I went to ikea and bought a really cool swing see post above. Then Sunday I made pink pancakes, pink milk and decorated for love day :). The girls got cute matching dresses, and BFF necklaces, and the boys got new shirts, and John a tie and chocolates. We then went to my moms for dinner and decorated sugar cookies. Our activity for Family Night Monday was stacking the big candy sweethearts to see who could make the tallest tower in 30 seconds (a game that we had played at Sydney's school party) It was a really great weekend!

Yes, this is our breakfast table with m&m's, cookies, and candy hearts!

Okay so the milk kinda reminds me of pepto!

New Goal

My new goal is to post at least once a month. Well, my new blogging goal, I have many others that I am also not succeeding at as well!

January- Abby sleeping with her "Girl Doll Abby" Sierra had an American girl doll and got it's ears pierced for Christmas, Syd got one for Christmas, and Abby is WAY too rough so she got the knock off Walmart brand, but calls them all "Girl Dolls- Girl Doll Sierra,
Girl Doll Sydney, and Girl Doll Abby".

Sierra started playing basketball, John and I are the coaches. John
has been doing the coaching during practices and I more
assist. It's been fun, she's cute, not very aggressive, or competitive, but cute.

I turned 33 in January. I had a fun birthday week, with lots of lunches with friends, dinner with John, and my family came over for dinner and cake. John made the cake and the girls all
decorated it. It was a fun week :). My friend Michele gave me this FUN new cake pan- it's a giant cup cake (about 1 1/2 cake mixes). The girls have thought of every occasion to make a "big top cupcake" the last month. I think we've had cake almost weekly!

Missing Teeth

Sydney lost her first tooth on Wednesday.  She noticed it was loose, then a few hours later it was ready to be pulled!  On Thursday Sierra then lost her 6th tooth!  The Tooth Fairy is becoming quite familiar with our house!

These were the cute notes that the girls wrote to the Tooth Fairy!

Easy Bake Oven-not as advertised

The girls and their friend wanted to make some Easy Bake Oven food so we baked a cake.  I think I might see if they want to use it for future packaging!

Beth's Birthday!

So I'm just a little behind- okay a few months behind!  For Christmas we went to California and visited the Headley's.  We had a great time!  Beth's birthday was also that week so we were able to spend that with her as well!

We went to Hobbi's for breakfast and then that night the adults went to a Bocce Ball Club and had a great dinner and attempted to play bocce ball.

Showing off their great talent!
